Week of 31 January 2022
You’re in a difficult position right now, Cancer. The path you’re on needs a bit of adjustment because it could see you in a state of anxiety by the end of the week.
You’re exhausted after a long road, after throwing your hat in the ring and pursuing a cherished goal. You saw an opportunity, and you seized it. And that’s great. But the situation is now demanding that you split yourself in two.
Subconsciously, you’re aware of this. But you’re allowing your thoughts right now to get the better of you. You’re worrying and you think, Maybe I should just quit. Because, if I keep doing what I’m doing, I’m going to find myself in an impossible situation where I’m trying to please two masters.
If you’re juggling too many things, you need to prioritize, and you need to make a decision about what is most important to you right now and where you can lay your attention. You are going to disappoint some people, it’s true. But it means supporting yourself. You need to nurture what’s important to you for your success. What’s important to you for your emotional wellbeing.
We all have responsibilities. We all take on duties. We all make promises and from time to time, we have to disappoint people. But disappointing people isn’t the worst thing that you can do. It would be far worse for you to disappoint yourself and end up in a state of crisis where nobody’s satisfied. You’re not satisfied. They’re not satisfied—or maybe they are satisfied, but it comes at a huge cost to your emotional wellbeing.
Take a little step back and focus on your well-being. You can’t serve two masters this week, Cancer. You have to serve yourself first. And in putting yourself first, you’ll have time later to discover what you can do to lovingly support those around you.
