Aquarius

Aquarius

Week of 31 January 2022

Ideas can be powerful. They can slice through a situation. Metaphors like incisive, deep, and profound reveal the impact that ideas can have. And the words that carry them can sometimes feel harsh.

But ideas, and the leadership and enthusiasm needed to see them through, can make a hugely positive contribution to the world. Change is always difficult when the status quo isn’t too terrible. People will put up with a lot if it saves them the energy of having to do something different.

You are torn this week, Aquarius–unsure whether to stay put or move forward. Neither seems a palatable option for you at first glance. But you know you can’t stay stuck doing the same old same old. The urge to get moving and make some advances in your life is there, niggling you into action. Underneath it all is a deeper awareness that, once you push through the difficulties that any change comes with, thing will become clearer, more manageable, and better. The idea of a better future–a life that you deserve–is motivating you here. To achieve it may call for some some guile in playing your cards close to your chest. The end of a cycle is in your sights. And endings aren’t necessarily bad. They can be liberating. You know that this can’t go on forever. Once you get over this hump, Aquarius, the force of your brilliant ideas will lift you up and carry you where you want to go.

Like all fictional narratives, the stories that emerge through tarot are not predictive. Instead, these stories offer new ways of seeing situations, alternative perspectives, and opportunities to remind oneself of the ups and downs we all must face in life.
